Barbados has a new calypso monarch.
Singing to a full house at the Kensington Oval, which was used for the first time in over 3 decades, Adrian Clarke won with his renditions of “I am a Bajan” and “Put that in yuh song”.

In a tightly run show, Khiomal with Unleash de Beast, a song virtually unknown before today pulled away from the rest of the field today to capture the Party Monarch Competition title. Following in second and third positions were Mikey with Explosion and Nathalee with Sun til Sun.
