	RPB takes the Sweet Soca competition with his infectious "Once apon a wine". Scoring 454 points RPB added yet another trophy to his collection ahead of Biggie Irie with "This ting cyan be ova" who scored 423 points and Edwin Yearwood with 416 points.

	Presentation by the Hon. Stephen Lashley, M.P. at the Bigger Soca Royale in 2011 Press Briefing held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Bushy Park Racing Circuit. As Minister with responsibility for Culture and on behalf of the National Cultural Foundation I want to thank you all for attending today’s Press Briefing. Based on all that has been said before, the Soca Royale has now moved to a higher level, with the added incentive from McEnearney Quality Inc. and the new structure and innovations which have been created for the Event. It is evident that much planning has been devoted to every aspect of this production. 	It will be a battle between Cave Shepherd All Stars, De Digicel Big Show and Headliners next Friday night at Kensington Oval. Both All Stars and De Big Show can boast that all of their competitors made it through to the finals and will join Blood from Headliners to face the reigning king RPB.

Semi-Finalists for Sweet Soca

	The names of the Sweet Soca 16 semi-finalists were announced and songwriter Mr Dale and 2 tents have performed exceptionally well. For Mr Dale, who penned songs for 5 of the semi-finalists, it was a double celebration as he is from Headliners, 1 of the 2 tents that took the majority of the spots. The other tent is De Digicel Big Show.
