Blood is the winner of the inaugural Soca Royale competition
Cropover NewsBlood (Anderson Armstrong) has won the Soca Royale competition after winning the Party Monarch competition with his popular “Foot on Fire” and then winning after a no-contest from TC who won the Sweet Soca competition with “Down de Road”.

Banks/LIME Pic-o-de-Crop Finalists
Cropover NewsIt will be a battle between Cave Shepherd All Stars, De Digicel Big Show and Headliners next Friday night at Kensington Oval. Both All Stars and De Big Show can boast that all of their competitors made it through to the finals and will join Blood from Headliners to face the reigning king RPB.

Semi-Finalists for Sweet Soca
Cropover NewsThe names of the Sweet Soca 16 semi-finalists were announced and songwriter Mr Dale and 2 tents have performed exceptionally well. For Mr Dale, who penned songs for 5 of the semi-finalists, it was a double celebration as he is from Headliners, 1 of the 2 tents that took the majority of the spots. The other tent is De Digicel Big Show.

Cropover NewsAccording to Nationnews.com, "DE BIG SHOW will lead the charge with five calypsonians in next Friday’s Lime/Banks Pic-O-De-Crop semi-finals at the gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.

In the Mount Gay/LIME Party Monarch finals, Headliners and De Big Show matched each other with three finalists each out of the nine who will challenge defending monarch Khiomal on Sunday July 26th at the Farley Hill National Park."
