Edwin Yearwood has won this years People's Monarch competition with 82% of the vote with Middle uh de Road, beating Mikey with I in Dat. Among his prizes are $25,000 a Digicel phone and car insurance.

Edwin Yearwood has won this years People's Monarch competition with 82% of the vote with Middle uh de Road, beating Mikey with I in Dat. Among his prizes are $25,000 a Digicel phone and car insurance.
Voting for the Digicel/Starcom network sponsored event is done by text messaging and pitted some of the best songs of the season.
In Semi-Final 1 on Monday July 27th, 2009 Mikey with I in Dat (63%) beat TC with Hot Sun & Riddim (37%).
In Semi-Final 2 on Tuesday July 28th, 2009 Edwin with Middle uh de Road (68%) beat RPB with Something’s Happening (32%)
